“My dad was at a local hospital, and needed a place to rehabilitate after his illness,” says Mariann Cordial of her father, the late James Benner. “I knew, however, that he’d eventually need long-term care. So I wanted to make the right decision for his placement.”
At the recommendation of her dad’s social worker, Mariann visited the Otterbein Skilled Nursing & Rehab Neighborhood in Springboro.
“While touring, I thought, ‘This is too good to be true,’” she recalls. She thought there might be some kind of catch! Yet it’s fully certified by the Ohio Department of Health, Medicare and Medicaid with all the required standards of care. It’s the design of the environment that makes the small house so radically different.
“After placing him here, I knew I made the best choice,” says Mariann. “Otterbein is proof of the saying: when God closes one door, He opens another. I could not have chosen a better home for my dad.”
