Take time to learn the history of Cridersville in this local museum. You’ll appreciate the images and artifacts that tell the story of the community’s past, including who lived here, how they lived, and why their accomplishments shaped the community of today.

Cridersville Local History Museum exhibits include the Shawnee, pioneer families, coming of the railroad, oil boom years, Western Ohio Electric Railway, Great Fire of 1918, and more.

Armstrong Air & Space Museum

Open seven days a week, the Armstrong Air & Space Museum is a fun place to learn about the area’s heritage in aviation and space exploration. It highlights Neil Armstrong’s many contributions. Visitors can view the Gemini VIII Spacecraft, Apollo 11 moon rock, and several of Armstrong’s spacesuits.

The museum is wheelchair accessible, offering handicapped parking, ample seating, and ramps throughout the galleries. One wheelchair is available for free on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Temple of Tolerance

Open year-round and free to the public, The Temple of Tolerance is a must-see when visiting the area. Owner and creator Jim Bowsher has spent two decades moving and placing rocks and ornamental features to construct the Temple grounds in his backyard property. 

You’ll find a barrel-shaped cottage, peaceful alcoves, a large temple structure, smaller structures, a war memorial, and more in this spectacular and historical two-acre rock garden.
