Emerald Village Senior Living’s Transition to Otterbein North Olmsted
Otterbein SeniorLife sincerely appreciates the hard work and efforts of Rick Meserini and St. Augustine Health Ministries during the transition process. All involved in the transition in ownership and management prioritized transparency to ensure the residents and partners (employees) of Emerald Village continue to experience high-quality services and support well into the future.
James Bettendorf, President/CEO of Vista Prairie Communities, the current ownership group, said, “As Vista Prairie’s strategic planning led to a decision to sell Emerald Village, we were excited to find a buyer group committed to compassionate community-based care for older adults.”

Otterbein SeniorLife has already assumed day-to-day management of Emerald Village, and its name has been changed to Otterbein North Olmsted SeniorLife Community. The newly acquired Otterbein community will retain the current staff and leadership, now with support from the Otterbein home office team.
