About Rock Steady Boxing
Rock Steady Boxing is a groundbreaking, science-based fitness program designed to improve the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. The program uses non-contact boxing training to build strength, balance, agility, and confidence. Research shows that this targeted exercise can slow disease progression and enhance quality of life for individuals living with Parkinson’s.
“We are overjoyed to bring this life-changing program to our community and cannot wait to see the incredible outcomes for our residents and members,” said Lori Ward, Executive Director of Otterbein Lebanon. “The energy and excitement of the ribbon-cutting is just the beginning of an inspiring new chapter at Otterbein SeniorLife Lebanon.”
The development of the Rock Steady Boxing gym reflects Otterbein’s unwavering mission: Inspired by faith, we strive to enrich life journeys for all. Wellness is at the heart of everything the continuing care community does for its residents. This partnership with the YMCA demonstrates Otterbein’s ongoing commitment to providing cutting-edge programs for older adults.
By offering access to Rock Steady Boxing, Otterbein Lebanon is empowering individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s to move, thrive, and live life to the fullest.
