Otterbein SeniorLife Communities and Small House Neighborhoods celebrated World Otter Day with a new sponsorship and a fun adventure! Otterbein is the proud sponsor of the Toledo Zoo’s River Otter Exhibit Cam. Many residents and partners (employees) saw the river otters and other animals at the zoo in person on World Otter Day.

Toledo Zoo Bold Adventure – World Otter Day
Over 50 Otterbein residents, elders, and partners visited the Toledo Zoo for the special World Otter Day celebration. The day’s bold adventure agenda included a full schedule of exciting opportunities:
- Brown bear keeper talks
- Zip line experience
- Giraffe feeding time
- Aquarium touch tank private experience
- River otter adventure
Residents and partners alike enjoyed every moment of the adventure-filled day. “I felt like a kid again on the zip line experience,” Otterbein Pemberville resident Jim R. says.

River Otter Exhibit Cam Sponsorship
In celebration of World Otter Day, Otterbein SeniorLife is sponsoring the River Otter Exhibit Cam to create a new experience for Otterbein residents and the general public.
“Otterbein believes in providing enrichment for the whole person, and in this case, we took a creative approach,” Otterbein SeniorLife Regional Marketing Director Molly Good says. “Thanks to a six‐month partnership with the Toledo Zoo, we’ll be able to provide up-close river otter experiences through this sponsorship.”
Otterbein residents can access the River Otter Exhibit Cam through the community’s in-house TV channel, and the general public can also view it live on YouTube.
