Otterbein Sunset Village is celebrating a new era of luxury living for seniors with a groundbreaking ceremony at 12:30 p.m. on July 9, 2025. The continuing care retirement community (CCRC) is planning to add spacious villas in The Railway, a new independent living neighborhood with a rich vintage travel theme.
New Independent Living Villas Planned for Otterbein Sunset Village
This masterfully planned neighborhood will feature 30 villa homes, ranging from 1,600 to 1,900 square feet, each designed with comfort, accessibility, and opulence in mind. Homes will feature private two-car garages, open-concept living areas, and optional customizations, adding comfort and flexibility to suit individual lifestyles.
“This is more than a community,” said Dan Smith, Executive Director of Otterbein Sunset Village. “The Railway is a lifestyle, bringing together the comfort of luxury living and the freedom of maintenance-free independence. When it came to selecting the theme for this expansion, it made sense to honor our storied past, with the historic Allen Junction building on the southwest corner of our campus.”
