What Sets Assisted Living at Otterbein Marblehead Apart From Other Assisted Living Communities?
We’re able to meet most of the needs of assisted living residents as they age and experience some physical or cognitive decline. Some assisted living communities require residents to be fairly independent, which can mean moving to another level of care or a new community if their health declines.
At Otterbein Marblehead, we do our best to allow assisted living residents to age in place so they can have a familiar environment of staff and fellow residents. This can provide peace of mind to both the residents that live here and their loved ones.

What Happens if My Loved One’s Health Declines and They Require More Care Than Assisted Living Provides?
If a resident requires more care than we can provide in our assisted living community, there are a few options to explore. Residents can move to long-term care in one of our small houses on our Otterbein Marblehead campus or even to another Otterbein SeniorLife Community.
If a resident is recovering from an illness or surgery, they can participate in on-campus short-term rehabilitation services like physical, occupational, or speech therapy.
We also work closely with our local hospice organizations, which can supplement the care the resident receives with specialized end-of-life support and care.
What Are Some of the Benefits of Living at Otterbein Marblehead Versus Staying in My Own Home and Paying Someone to Help Me With Daily Tasks?
One of the most significant benefits of an assisted living community like ours is having on-site staff at all times of the day or night and a continuum of care to meet the changing needs of the residents.
You are also surrounded by residents you can socialize with over meals and activities. There are numerous activities to choose from throughout the day, along with access to community amenities and other dining options. Your daily needs are met, so you can choose how to fill your days and live life to the fullest.
