Otterbein SeniorLife has announced plans to affiliate with Vista Grande Villa, a non-profit senior living community located in Jackson, Michigan. Under the proposed agreement, Vista Grande Villa would become a wholly owned subsidiary of Otterbein SeniorLife. Both boards have approved the contractual terms, which are now moving through a one-month regulatory and procedural review period.
Shared Mission, Shared Values
Both Otterbein and Vista Grande Villa are non-profit senior care providers committed to delivering a full continuum of services. That common foundation was a driving factor in bringing us together.
“Otterbein SeniorLife is pleased to announce our planned affiliation with Vista Grande Villa, a senior living community we deeply respect for its high-quality care and strong commitment to residents,” said Jill Wilson, President and CEO of Otterbein SeniorLife. “It was clear that Vista Grande Villa’s culture aligns closely with Otterbein’s faith-inspired mission to enrich individual life journeys for all.”
Chelsea Eisele, Executive Director of Vista Grande Villa, highlighted the collaborative nature of the process: “The boards of directors and leadership teams of Vista Grande Villa and Otterbein SeniorLife have worked collaboratively to ensure this long-standing community we love continues to thrive, both now and far into the future. Following an exploratory process, it was clear Otterbein offered the best opportunity to support the long-term viability of our community.”
Continuity for Residents and Staff
Current residents and their families can expect a seamless transition. Vista Grande Villa’s existing staff and leadership team will remain in place, with the added resources and support of Otterbein’s home office. The community will be renamed Otterbein Jackson SeniorLife Community, reflecting Otterbein’s long-term commitment to the Jackson area.
