SeniorLife Neighborhoods are designed around the needs of the people who call it home — in other words, your schedule is set by you.

The care is personal at our skilled nursing and rehab neighborhoods. At each neighborhood, nurses are members of an interdisciplinary team, working to coordinate specialized care as prescribed by your physician.

They are always on hand to manage, observe, and evaluate your care on a routine basis, help restore your abilities or maintain your current wellness, advocate for your wellness and dignity, and encourage you to meet your fullest physical, mental, social, and spiritual potential.

In the SeniorLife Neighborhoods, an innovative yet practical design combines a home’s warmth and companionship with the skilled clinical nursing care services that long-term care demands. It balances a sense of family with respect for individual privacy.

The neighborhoods offer space for rehab, skilled nursing/long-term care, memory support, and life enrichment. Abundant activities await you at Otterbein – educational, cultural, healthful, or just plain fun. Your quality of life coordinator, your coach, and a guide work with you to create a plan for optimal personal development.

Each neighborhood is made up of five specially designed one-story houses with 12 private suites, with no more than 60 residents in all. That means high staff-to-elder ratios, increased nurse effectiveness, and better quality of life. Additionally, the houses are located in established neighborhoods and blend in with the other families on the block.

Amenities

At the Otterbein SeniorLife Neighborhoods, it’s a family environment and choice is key. At each neighborhood, there are no institutional schedules, meals, or routines, so you can rise and retire when you want.

The neighborhoods are decorated with the residents’ personal treasures, suites are painted the colors of your choosing, and you’re always digitally connected with your family through WiFi access, flat screen cable TV, and recreational programming.

There’s a den/therapy room where you can relax by the hearth with your family, a salon/spa for all of your barbering and beauty needs, a ceiling lift track to get around easily, and neighborhood surroundings with green lawns and an outdoor fenced patio with a garden.

You live right down the sidewalk from other families, and your house fits right in, looking every inch the home that it is. No need for elevators. Just step out to the patio when you need fresh air!
